This is the happy truth, the only way to influence people's behaviour around you is to be the best example of it. Walking the talk, acting on what you say, is what provokes real change in the people minds around you and can have ripple effects on many other people.
Some have said that you either lead by example or you don't lead at all. As Mahatma Gandhi once said
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world”.
Leading by example is something that we can all do, no matter our role, no matter our position. We can all can make the choice and take responsibility to be the change we want to see. We can all take initiative, we can all make the decision to show the way for others.
This is not easy, and it isn't supposed to be. But with time and repeated action we may possibly arrive at good results.
